Autonomous vehicle interactions with infrastructure for mobility services in sparsely populated areas<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

\"\"The connected autonomous vehicles are changing the world of the automobile. They could provide a safe, ecological and shared alternative to the exclusive use of its personal vehicle. Major progress has taken place in recent years. Many experiments are carried out in urban areas. However, these different initiatives do not take into account the specificities of the low-density areas where transport solutions are scarcer.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The TORNADO project <\/strong>aims to develop in a sparse<\/strong>ly populated environment:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • a vehicle-infrastructure syst<\/strong>em from existing autonomous vehicle prototypes<\/li>\n
  • through 2 cases of u<\/u><\/strong>se: service in "meeting area" and folding on "open road"<\/li>\n
  • with short validation periods in the field (on a r<\/strong>eal scale and in real-world environments)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
